Can not unistall Norton security package or log mein rescue, no uninstall app

Purchased Norton security and computer tune up one week ago. When I went to What I thought was the Norton site to get the tune up, a pop up said hold for specialist. The person called me and said they would need to remotely access my computer for the tune up. After a few minutes he said it would take 350.00 to fix problem and asked for my card #. I told him no and he hung up on me. The program he used to access my computer left a window that said "Log mein rescue". The program tried to access my computer remotely 3 times later that night. I freaked out called apple support and they spent an hour deleting all visible areas of the Norton security package and the Log mein rescue window. Apple said it was fixed and told me not to download again. I got a refund. Now everything and I mean everything I try to download is stopped by Norton security and several common sites are labeled as restricted by Norton. I have no uninstall app to try again, Apple support deleted it. Also every time I start my computer the Log mein rescue window opens and tries to connect to my computer. My computer is virtually useless and there are no visible traces of either program, only restricted access with a little Norton pop up. The Log mein rescue window is still trying to gain access to my computer. Please Help!

See here for uninstalling Logmein from your MAC.   http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/How-do-I-uninstall-LogMeIn-for-Mac-manually

Hello Kerry. Run this removal suite and see if it finds any remnants of your install. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080427024142EN_EndUserProfile_en_us

Also run Malwarebytes from here, to give your computer a cleanup.

Cheers

How did you get the Norton contact information when you first made contact?

I take it you are using a Mac. I would suggest contacting the genuine Norton Support and have them go into your system to clear things out.    www.norton.com/contactcs
