Can/should data and reference partitions be added to Scan Exclusions?

I have a new pc with a 1TB hard drive.  In addition to the system and boot partitions, I added fourlogical  partitions.  J and K contain mainly media files, especially video.  I will be reading from these partitions, but not doing much, if any, writing to them.  L is similar except that I will be adding new media files to it frequently, again mainly video.  M is a complete backup of the fC drive from my old XP pc, which I will just be using periodically for referennce, and to move or copy over files to my new C drive as and when deemed necessary.

So, for J, K, L and M, any opinions on which, if any, should be added to Scan Exclsusions so that they are omitted from manual and scheduled scans?  As you might imagine, J, K and L are each far larger than my new C drive.  Thanks.
