Hi I just have a forum question...I posted on the 10th in the norton nis forum a seperate post of my own.
It was moved but not marked moved instead it was edited and put where someone thought it fit.
It didnt actually if you read the problem, but thats not the issue.
My question is can mods edit my post w/ out marking it moved? Or does someone have my p/word
is this forum secure enough?
If it was a mod fine but it just was wierd...I couldnt re edit it either to correct info in my post, which was now a reply to someones post it didnt actually fit. It fit another post better if I was to move it Id of moved it to a diff post but anyway.... my question is was this done by a mod or should I be worrried about using this forum?
Only a moderator can move your post and only only a moderator can edit your post after the one hour "window" in which you can perform edits. Generally such changes are noted in your post.
Your claim that your post was moved and edited can only be checked by a moderator and I'm sure you'll get a response to that soon.
If you have concerns about your password, you can easily change that under "My Profile" which is at the top of each Forum page.
Moved yes. The linked post appears in a thread that has a differnt subject. It appears that two (or more) threads were merged.
Edited no. ANYTIME a message is edited it is left with a fresh edit tag at the bottom of it, showing who made the edit. Additionally any moderator can view edit history of a post. I do see an edit tag on your post, but the only prior version of the message was made by you, no one else has edited the post in question.

I presume your move will have left a link at the original site where the message was posted? But the moved message is not flagged unless you do that manually?
