Recently upgraded my internet from satellite to local WISP and the new internet will drop every hour on the dot. Every 60mins + the time (30sec-2min) it takes for it to reconnect. I’m assuming this is because the IP isn’t renewing every hour like it should and I know it’s not the WISP itself.
I’ve:
1. Restarted NIS firewall to default
2. Tried disabling some rules:
Disabled Block UPnP Discovery (and then enabled after it didn’t work)
Disabled Block LLMNR (and then enabled after it didn’t work)
Then Disabled Both Block UPnP/LLMNR
Disabled Block Web Services Discovery
Then Disabled Block UPnP/LLMNR/and Web Service Discovery
Screenshot of history log’s when I tried default rules and when I tried disabling a few rules:
*WISP gateway is 10.31.10.1 assuming the 10.31.10.105 is them but it’s being blocked.
With all 3 rules (BLOCK LLMNR WEB/UPnP discovery disabled) I belive it drops less offten (still testing and don't think I need LLMNR).
What rules should I be modifying and how? I belive it's usafe to just keep the 3 rules disabled.
-Thanks
