Can you delete Old Norton Account?

Due to sloppy customer services and really through no fault of my own mind, I have ended up with two Norton Accounts. Although I have been told by customer services that you cannot delete the old Norton account, I throught I would ask anyway here, to see if that is correct, as there are some very knowledgeable on here.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Will remove any personally identifiable information or payment information within the old account.

Thank you for your concern.

Hi bjm,

Thank you for your input. I think I will leave the old account dormant.

Please confirm - no personally identifiable information nor payment information within old account.
Thanks

If you can still log into the old account, just be sure to remove your personal information and the payment information as bjm_ suggested. That way, there is no chance of 'accidental' product renewal happening.

The old account is asking to me to renew subscription as subscription has expired.

Norton Community cannot see your Norton account/s, subscription/s nor payment information.

what subscription?  same as new account? old expired Norton?  what device/s?  same device as new account?

Can you trashcan expired license?

Can you remove personally identifiable information within old account?

Maybe, let old account sit dormant.

Generally, Norton and LifeLock will delete your account and related personal data upon request, regardless of where you reside, as long as there is no conflicting obligation that prevents us from acting on the request.

Due to sloppy customer services and really through no fault of my own mind, I have ended up with two Norton Accounts.

account #1 is used with active subscription
account #2 is not used with expired subscription

The old account is asking to me to renew subscription as subscription has expired.

William123:

The old Norton account has a different e-mail address and according to customer services, is still active.

So, still active...meaning tied to an active Norton subscription/product?

So, when you Sign In to the old account.  What subscription?  same as new account?

Maybe, remove all personally identifiable information & payment information from the old account.

My active subscription account does not have any personally identifiable information nor payment information.

Maybe, the old account is tied to an old Norton Password Manager vault?
Maybe, the old account is tied to an expired Norton subscription?

The old Norton account has a different e-mail address and according to customer services,

is still active.

two Norton accounts with same email address?
old account has active subscription?
