Hi,
When I purchased Norton 360 a few months ago, I initially installed it on Chrome. I am not using Chrome as much now, but use Firefox a lot. I have found it in my extensions, but it is disabled. I think because it didn't work with the version of FF I had at the time. The Norton toolbar version that it shows is Norton 2012.5.5.11. Would it be ok to enable it now? I read the newest version is 2012.7.4.1. and if it's ok to enable it, will it update or prompt to update?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Dick,
Thanks so much for your super quick response! I updated 360, restarted my computer and then enabled the Norton Toolbar and the Norton Vulnerability add ons. The versions are the same as before though, but they say updated with today's date and I checked for other updates. Norton toolbar says it is 2012.5.5.11 and Vulnerability Protection says 11.1.0.73-1.
Are both of those correct? The toolbar is installed and is working. :)
Hi AndysGirl,
The recent Norton 360 program update reverted the Toolbar version from 2012.7.4.1 to 2012.5.5.11 - so you do have the latest Norton Toolbar installed, and it is compatible with Firefox 14. You should be able to enable it with no problems at all. When the next version of FIrefox is released, please check back here to make sure that the next Toolbar compatibility update is available, and install it before you update to Firefox 15 - updating the Toolbar first avoids some of the problems that crop up when a new Firefox version is released. You can have the Norton Toolbar enabled in all of your browsers. Each toolbar is specific to each browser.
SendofJive,
Ok, thank you! So, should I then change FF to not be set to automatically update, but to choose "check for updates, but let me choose when to install them"? I really appreciate your help!

Yes, that would definitely be the way to go.
Ok, thanks again for your help!
Just FYI, the Norton Toolbar compatibility update for Firefox 15 was released today, one day in advance of the scheduled Firefox release.

Thank you! I just came here today because I had a prompt to update to FF15 today. Thank you for alerting me to come here first, I really appreciate it!
