Cannot change search engine when Norton Toolbar is visible

Using MSIE, when the Norton tool bar is showing, if I enter a search item in the dialog space, Norton uses Ask as the search engine even though I have identified Google as my IE default search engine. I'd like to have the Norton toolbar use Google as well.  How do I change the default search engine.
