Cannot Clear a "Fix Now" message

Yesterday afternoon I ran my monthly scans & backup to my external backup device.  Since doing so, I have had a message under PC Tune Up:  "Your tune up has not completed...3 items need your attention.  Click Fix Now"  When I click Fix Now I get the following messages:  1) Internet Explorer Temporary Files - another instance of this task is running. Please wait to finish.

 2) Windows Temporary Files - another instance of this task is running.  Please wait to finish.  3) Internet Explorer History Files - another instance of this task is running.  Please wait to finish.

I've been getting these messages for well over a day now.  It's like these scans are stuck.  I cannot figure out how to fix this.  I have looked @ changing tune up settings but can seem to find help there.

I'm not a real teckie & I'm totally lost.  ;-((  How do I clear this up...it's never happened before.

Please Help!  Thanks so much.

I rebooted my computer several times but these messages continue to return each time. Thanks so much for the suggestion. ;-))

Were the reboots warm or cold and what is your operating system? Is it current and can you run live update?

Rebooting usually terminates any running processes which should have cleared the messages. Has anyting else unusual occured around the time this all started?

There is a solution here, someplace :smileysad: We just have to find it

This may or may not help.  It sounds like you are using Norton Security Suite from Comcast since your post is on the "Other Products Board.

On the main page, click on Support, select Get Support from the drop down menu and follow the instructions thru to completion.  It will lead you thru troubleshooting/fixes that you shuold be able to follow (even if you are not real teckie :smileywink:).

I have a gur feeling it will lead you to uninstall/reinstall as the corrective answer.

Please also post back with results and if still not fixed, include Operating System, and Norton Product name and vesion number.

Thanks so much yank. I followed your suggestion & it cleared out the problem. You Rock!! ;-))

You are welcome and glad you got it sorted!
