Cannot complele downloading & Installing Norto On-Line Family

I am having trouble downloading the On-Line Family software. I can complete the Norton Download manager screen, then when it starts to Install On-Line Family download procedure, it will stop and give me "Unexpected error occurs when ......" and I can NEVER complete that step, so what can I do.  The only option that gives me is 'Delete downloaded files' or RETRY, still no luck when re-do the same task more than 3 times!

 

My PC is running MS-WIN7 Professional, all windows updates up-to-date, and I have Norton AntiVirus 2012 installed.

 

Appreciate if you could help.

1. the NF.Installer.exe (95KB) file was successfully downloaded and ran

2. then at the display showing downloading teh 13.44MB of Norton Family also completed, when it changes to 'Installing Norton Family....' - it then gives me the 'Unexpected Error occurs' message.

 

Please help.

I was able to download the NEW NOF and installed, works just fine.  THANKS

No need to download the NF_Insatller.exe

 

All I did is to click 'downlaod On-line Family" and even if it crashes, simply go to your 'DOWNLOADS' destination folder and you will see the Norton On-Line Family exe file, run it and works!

happy to say that for some reason now my tablet is registered as 2nd device for notron security.  i am not so sure about anti theft as my purchase my not be covering the smart phone and the tablet not sure. can anyone answer this? thanks.
