Cannot connect to Norton Server error message

Running Norton Security - 22.9.1.12 but if I click back up sets or anything that triggers a call to Norton Server it fails to connect.  Support uninstalled and reinstalled twice to no effect.  Connection to internet fine - check on cable and wifi and my other computer is fine.  This one is running Window 7 which is shown as supported.

Basically can't back up!

Hello briangre

Here is a link to use to try and reinstall your Norton Security.

www.norton.com/latestns  If you have the Premium version, you can use this link.  www.norton.com/latestnsbu  After you get it installed, please run Live Update until there are no more updates restarting as requested. Norton Support does not usually send out emails for support. Are you sure you called the official chat Support or Customer Support?

www.norton.com/contactcs  is the official Norton Support. This link will give you the choice of calling them on the phone or by having a chat session. Assuming you don't have another Security program installed or some malware on your computer, you should be able to install the program. Do you still have enough seats available in your program?

Thanks.

This is ridiculous .  Started yesterday with the product apparently installed, showing the right number of days remaining but unable to login.  Ended the day after 5.5 hours of “support” with the product no longer installed and hence no protection.  Requested support to email with a plan but zero.  I have spent nearly 10 hours trying to fix this and really can’t face another 5+ hours.  Help!!

I had already run it but it reported No Norton products found

@briangre Please disregard my last post. Thanks.

@briangre So you ran the reactivation tool and rebooted with no results?

Try this link and get every update that is available.

Done the 1st - no difference

2nd fails :Failure:Contact Support

Try these suggestions please and let us know if things changed.

Did that - nothing found:

@briangre Open your Norton dashboard and try going to help, then select "Get Support". This should run a diagnostics if one is available.

How long have you had Norton Security on this computer?

Was there any other security program on this computer before Norton Security? If so, did you fully remove that with the removal tool for that software?

Does the backup work on the other computer?

Fails selecting any of the accounts links - e.g. Sub Status Days showing on main screen correct

You say it is all Norton features that call the Norton servers. Do you get a similar error if you go to Norton Security main screen, Help - Subscription Status?

Is the correct number of days remaining show correctly on the main Norton Security screen?

Did the above - still getting the error message - this is getting silly and just renewed sub!!

Hello @briangre Turn off "fast startup in Windows and reboot your device. Then check the settings in your Norton dashboard for backup bandwidth throttle. Set it at fastest. Let us know if this helps. Thanks.
