UI = User Interface ![]()
I don't mean to sound stupid but what does the acronym UI stand for? I've racked my brain trying to figure out what you are referring to.
If you are getting this sign in issue from the classic UI, try from the new 360 UI. Click on My Norton from the classic UI, and then try signing in.
dont ask me how but i clicked a few things and it took me a log in page, entered my stuff and im in...for now, ill see if im still ok tomorrow...thanks for yer help guys
i am starting norton in classic, and its not working and ive tried signing in on the "mynorton" screen as well and its not happening either......beginning to think its an issue thing so i may leave it for a bit...its still saying my subscription is active so i know im good its just annoying i cant log in fsr
From the new UI, you can click on Open beside Device Security. That will bring up the classic UI.
Switch between My Norton and classic windows
Start Norton.

If you see the Norton classic window, click My Norton.

In the My Norton window, click the settings icon.

Under Launch View, do one of the following:

To view My Norton window during launch, select My Norton.

To view classic window during launch, select Classic.

thats exactly where im trying to log in from and thats where its going wrong.......so how do i get to the classic UI???
Hi Bazza01,
Are you referring to signing in through the My Norton UI? If so, try signing in via the Classic UI.

I did that. But still, when I click on Sign-In from Norton-Homescreen, nothing happens. It tries to connect but then again, "cannot connect to the Norton-Server". Using Chrome as default. Already tried switchin to edge as default. Nothing.
It is not a Norton cache. Your second image shows the message "An unexpected browser error has occured"
You need to go into Chrome settings and clear Chrome's cache. See this Google Support article.
I don't use a VPN because every time I log into some web pages it does not recognize my computer. So I do not use it.
Regarding the Norton cache. Where is this located? by the way the browser is use is Chrome because other web browsers have presented huge problems with an online services.
Not sure what Norton cache Jerry13 is referring to. What you can try is clearing your browser cache
Since I have the same issue, did you find a solution ? and where is the Norton cache located if that would be the solution to clear it ?
Maybe, change to Google Public DNS ....as test.
Maybe, change default browser .....as test.

Hello
Did everything already. Did not work first. However, out of nothing it activated itself. In my account it also says 1 out of 5 devices activated. But what ever I do, I am not able to sign in. Trying signin in gives me the same error. It says "communicating with the norton server" for a moment and then the same error message "cannot connect to the norton server - an unexpected browser error has occurred"
Message: "Unexpected Browser error" or "Cannot connect to the Norton server"

I have the exact same issue. Did you solve the problem ? If yes, what did you do ?
Try clearing the Norton cache to see if the message alert goes away. Try turning off your VPN if you have one. This may help you to connect. If not, try a different browser.
Hello para5555. Give your computer a restart and retry. Are you getting any error notification?
Cheers
