Cannot connect to the internet "server not responding"

Dear Users,
After a week or more of intermittent internet service getting the message "Firefox can't find the server at www.amazon.com or a similar with another name", I have finally pinpointed the problem to NIS 2012.
It also doesn’t matter what browser I use and when I’m browsing in safe mode it seems like it’s on steroids comparing to within Windows with NIS.
I suspected the issue rebooting into safe mode with networking and everything was OK, later I uninstalled NIS with the uninstaller tool and once again my internet works fine.
Previously, I had tried for a week all the fixes I found online until I arrived at the former conclusion.
Urgently I need advice and guidance on this issue.

Hi amenesses54,

Had you made any changes to any firewall settings?

Thanks for the reply.

I've made no changes at all, the issue happens with a new fresh install.

Please advise.

Do you currently have Norton installed?  It will be hard to guess what might have caused the issue - it could have been something as simple to fix as flushing the DNS cache.  Having other security programs installed alongside Norton has sometimes caused connectivity issues.

As advised by Microsoft, I  troubleshooted the problem by performing a clean boot and it seems to have solved the problem.

That's why everything was OK in safe mode.

:Thanks
