Cannot deinstall Norton Safety Minder

Hi there,

 

OnlineFamily.Norton tells me that I have to install on my daughters computer the 'Norton Safety Minder' because her computer (our computer, XP) is not assigned to OnlineFamily.Norton. I downlowd the 'Norton Safety Minder' Software and because (from a previous installation) this Software is already installed it likes to deinstall the previous 'Norton Safety Minder'. However it needs the previous password to do so, which I cannot remember anymore.

My question: How do I deinstall the 'Norton Safety Minder' when I cannot remember the old password anymore ?

Can I alter the Registry ? I am happy to do so ...
