I searched the message boards and did not see this problem reported. When I try to download files (such as mp3 files) on my Mac using Firefox, the download pauses in the download window and cannot be resumed. When I uninstall Safety Minder, I can download files with no problem. I can also download files with Safety Minder installed using Safari. Everyone in my family prefers Firefox, so any help is appreciated.
I had to remove Safety Minder because of the problem, but I downloaded the latest one from the OneFamily web site yesterday, so I think it is the latest one for the Mac. Here is the other info:
Mac OS 10.5.8
Firefox 3.5.5
I should have noted that I did not have the problem until Safety Minder installed the extension for Firefox on the Mac. So, I assume the bug is in this extension. Also, this might be the same problem that is causing download of attachments in Yahoo mail to fail.
Hi rurbano,
Thanks for the update. We are able to reproduce this issue and have corrected it. The new release will be available very soon and I'll update the thread then.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi rurbano,
Thanks for your patience and cooperation. I'm glad to inform you that Norton Safety Minder 1.2 for Mac is available now. You probably have already received the update through Automatic LiveUpdate last night. If not, you can download the full new installer on www.onlinefamily.norton.com and it should correct the issue that you're experiencing.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Katie
I installed the latest Safety Minder on my Mac and it works. Thanks for the quick fix.
I am noticing one minor issue though. Now, when I open Firefox in my account I see the pop up window saying that my activity is being monitored. Obviously, my account is not a monitored account. This did not happen before. It is not a major problem, just a little annoying.
Hi rurbano,
Thanks for the update. So are you sure that you didn't log onto the Mac with an account that is being monitored? What happens if you log onto the Mac with an account that is being monitored, do you get the same pop-up message?
Thanks,
Katie
Yes, the pop up message appears for all accounts now, including monitored and unmonitored accounts.
Hi rurbano,
Thanks for the information. This issue has been corrected and will be included in the next version.
Thanks again,
Katie
