Cannot download from iTunes

I cannot seem to download any music from iTunes. I've tried turning off the Norton Online Family and the entire Norton program in general and I still can't seem to download. I've only been having this problem since I installed the Norton 2010 Internet Security. I have a Dell Pentium computer running Windows.  It's giving me the error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out"
