Hi, I used to be able to map network drives, but now I get the error message “drive cannot be mapped because no network found” Note that I am running Norton AntiVirus 2010 (which has no Firewall) and not Norton Internet Security. Can anyone help??
Hi…thanks for asking…I am using Windows XP SP2 and Trend Micro OfficeScan firewall (not my choice). My PC was able to map this network drive before. I was just wondering if the installation process might have changed some network registry setting or there is some norton protection setting that might be blocking access to the domain controller or file server.
Turn OFF the Intrusion Prevention feature on the main interface. On the main screen of NAV2010, the slider switch next to Intrusion Prevention can be set to either ON or OFF. If this allows you to map your drives, then set (click) on the " i " next to the OFF switch to set NAV2010 to ignore this feature in its monitoring of the product; else, you will get a warning all the time about parts of NAV2010 not working.
