Cannot restore files backed up online with Norton 360 Premier

Hello,

I recently backed up approximately 9GB of data using Norton 360 after purchasing additional online storage space and expanding to 25GB.  I'm attempting to download these backed up files onto another computer (which is on the same Norton 360 account), but there appears to be no activity during the download--the status remains at 0.0% and then gives an error.  I've attempted restoring the files on the other computers that share the 360 account, including the one from which the files were originally backed up, and am unable to successfully restore on any of them.

What is the version of N360 you are using and the operating system you are running on?

Do you see any error message when trying to restore?

Can you provide some more information about the issue? For instance what version of Norton 360 are you using? What OS are you on? The history for the backup set in question? The error code itself, screenshots etc?

Sorry for my delay in responding.  I'm on Windows XP (32 bit home), using Norton 360 Premier (the "about" tab shows version 3.8.0.41).  I can now see all the backup sets again.  However, still not having much luck with the actual restore.  I did a small sample of 20 files, less than 100 MB (financial documents), and was successful.  However, on choosing a larger selection (music, for example), I encountered the original problem--the restore hangs at 0.0%, and I receive an error message instructing me to make sure the specified device is connected.  I'll grab a screenshot of the next time it happens.

Could you upgrade the product to the v4 release and try again?

The upgrade is free since you already have a valid subscription.

I upgraded to version 4--seems like it's working as long as I break up the restore and keep the size of the files around 1-1.5GB.  Which is kind of a pain, but I can deal with it.  Thanks for the help.

For our diagnostic purposes, could you tell me what error was generated? You should be able to get the error from Security History.
