Hi all. I purchased Ghost 15 yesterday expecting it to be like other Ghost products I have used in the past, but this does not seem to be the case.
I am building a Test system for our QA guy to test some USB hardware in different OS's (WinXP Home/Pro, WinVista 32/64 and Win7 32/64). To do this, I reasoned I could build each environment, Clone the drive to a Ghost image on a large attached USB drive and give the QA guy some instructions on restoring the images as needed.
I built the Win7 64 bit environment. when I went to clone it with Ghost 15, I found it there is no option to clone the physical disk!!! Instead I am offered the choice of selecting the partitions I wanted Ghosted. I selected the C: drive and the System Restore drive.
Now, no matter what order I recover the parttiions, I cannot easily get the system to boot the recovered OS.
Am I missing something? It used to be in previous versions that you could select the physical disk, clone it and restore it easily. I cannot see this option in this new version. The word Clone is not even in the help file at all.
If I cannot get it to recover easily (for the QA guy), then I will have to look at somethign else like Acronis.
Thanks,
