Cannot run or save a custom scan in NAV2009

Cannot run or save a custom scan.

 

Cannot run or save a custom scan with NAV2009 in Windows XP.  NAV freezes and must be closed via Window Task manager. 

 

Here is what I’ve done so far to try to find an answer. 

 
  1. Un-installed NAV2009
  2. Removed any reference to Norton Antivirus from the registry.
  3. Ran Chkdsk /f on all drives
  4. un-installed ccleaner, Ad-aware,  Spybot.  No other anti-virus software is on the system.
  5. Used Norton Recovery Tool to check for viruses.
  6.  Re-installed NAV2009
  7. Stopped all other programs from loading at startup except NAV2009 related.
  

Still the same problem.   Any ideas?   Saw someone else on the forum with the same problem but did not see a resolution.
