Cannot see when subscription renews, linked with webroot?

Issue abstract: Cannot see when subscription renews anymore, or the price of it. Also, is norton now tied to webroot?

Detailed description: Got an email that I’m checking to see if it’s spam, because I’m not positive, but think it is, maybe. It’s from webroot saying my subscription is renewing and it’s a lot more than I thought my norton subscription was, but I can’t even check, because there’s no information available to us anymore. Has norton tied in with webroot? I’ve never used, or heard of webroot before, but I did a google search and it seems to be a viable company, so I’m wondering if norton merged with webroot in some way, and billing is now from webroot. I’m really overtired right now, but need to get this question out there. Has Norton linked up with webroot and billing is now from webroot, or is this a scam like I’m thinking it is since they’re trying to charge me over $400, which I can’t afford? And why can we not find when our subscription renews and how much it is? We used to be able to, and it’s a basic thing that we need to be able to know. I’m not happy at all that it’s hidden so we can be taken advantage of. Not cool, Norton. Not cool.

Product & version number: 360 I think. Not sure.

OS details: Win 10 & 11

=================================

For annual subscriptions, Norton sends a notification email with the renewal price and billing date approximately 50-65 days before any charge occurs.

  • Check your email inbox or spam folder for emails from Norton.
  • The subject line might contain phrases like “Norton Order #NP***** purchase completed” or “Automatic renewal service, notification of billing completion”. The email will detail the exact billing date and renewal price.

If you purchased your subscription through a mobile app store (Google Play or Apple App Store), you will need to manage the subscription and check the date through the respective app store’s subscription management settings.

Thank you. I had a feeling the email was a scam, but I’d never gotten a scam email before from a ligitimate website with the same kind of functionality. They weren’t pretending to be norton, which was why I was thinking maybe they bought norton, or norton bought them or something like that and they were then in charge of the billing….I didn’t know. With all the companies these days buying each other and changing names and such, and with prices of everything increasing dramatically, I wasn’t sure, so wanted to check, just in case. As for finding my subscription information, all that any page I can find (including the one you linked) tells me is that my subscription is active. It should be easy to find when an auto pay is due to renew and how much it’ll be (since prices of everything changes all the time), and I don’t remember ever noticing a reminder email over the last 10 years or so, but then having to spend many hours a week going through email, I miss things. I don’t even have a spam filter, so I have to deal with every single message myself, and I get super burnt out on it very quickly. I don’t remember where I bought my subscription to start with, it was either from the norton web site or through Amazon. Definitely not from an app store. I just don’t understand why they don’t want their customers to be able to plan easily for their renewal and have the information easy to find and not have to jump through multiple hoops over a period of hours, if not days. I’ve been thinking about an upgrade, but when I can’t find the information for what I currently have, it makes it difficult. But thanks for the help on the scam email. It’s incredibly rare for me to see one that I’m not sure of at a glance.
