As I confirmed in a previous posting, when doing some standard gcc compiliations or using some simple Cygwin utilities (mv, cp, etc. -- within non-system directories), NIS hangs up my work. I have to Disable AntiVirus Auto-Protect each time for a few minutes just to get work done.
I want to be able to do my work and still have a decent anti-virus utility running. I have tried adding a few files to the Scan Exclusions Auto-Protect Exclusions window, but I do not see any effect. I still have do the more radical procedure described above.
I have checked these files with ClamAV, Malwarebytes, and I have have not had any such problems previously using several other anti-virus products.
Surely, there must be a better way of handling such exclusions?
Thanks.
