I COME WITH A GREAT SURPRISE THAT NO ONE MENTION THIS PROBLEM WHICH HAS BEEN OCCURED MANY YEARS BEFORE. After installing Norton GoBack 4.0 on a computer running Windows XP, many many users( as I google it and found many users have come across this problem in different forums) cannot shut down the computer. The Computer screen showing "Windows is shutting down" freezes forever and I have to cut the power supply to turn it off.
Again, I did my homework to search the support knowledbase in norton website and found this link :http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/goback.nsf/0/96fe10f757685aec6525700f0075f641?OpenDocument
. AND THE SOLUTION IS TOTALLY USELESS AS THE VERSION I INSTALLED IS SYSTEMWORK 2008 BASIC AND I DIDN'T EVEN INSTALLED NORTON ANTIVIRUS. I AM SURE THAT THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IS GOBACK 4,0 ITSELF BUT NOT OTHERS.
PLEASE DON'T TURN A BLIND EYE ON THE PROBLEM AND DON'T TELL ME TO START CHANGING USING OTHER PROGRAMS TO REPLACE GOBACK AS I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!!! I NEED A WORKABLE SOLUTION.
AN ANGRY USER
