Try clearing the browser cache/data for the Norton website. Also be sure there is no VPN active or ad blocker extension active for the Norton websites.

Since I am not the most versed computer user when it comes to that kind of thing, could you offer some step-by-step on this? and thank you for the answer. I’ll work on it from here and see how far I get. val

What browser are you using?

And do you have any ad blocker extension installed in that browser?

O.K. I’ve tried clearing cache every time I log into Norton and I get the same response…Your computer is sending too many …gonna reboot the damned thing and see what happens after that. I’m in a vicious circle with Norton and I’m dizzy. Stop the world. I want OFF!

Note: no notion whether Under Maintenance is related -

I appreciate ALL the input. Evidently Firefox strikes again. I used Google Chrome, got logged in to my Norton account and made all updates with no issues. I did this AFTER rebooting, which I figure clears all cache. Firefox causes me more problems I think, but am so used to it, it’s hard to adapt to a different browser.
Thank again to all who tried to help me. I’ll go through the responses thoroughly. Oh, and I do NOT ever use the VPN. It prevents even more than Firefox!
