We run the NOF client on two identical machines. While using the Web interface to adjust settings, popups suddenly appeared stating that I had to update the client on both machines. I downloaded client and (apparently) successfully updated one machine, but the second one will not update. Behavior is as follows:
I uninstall the previous version, reboot, then install the downloaded (latest) version, after which I am prompted to enter the machine name that is to be monitored. I then get an error stating that this machine is already registered. I've gone through this cycle three times now with no progress beyond that. I also tried completely uninstalling the client package, then installing the latest version...absolutely no difference. I tried re-downloading the newest client via an email link read on the target machine, no difference. I even tried entering a new machine name but I did not see that show up in the Web interface...I only see the original machine name and am constantly nagged that it must be updated.
On the server side, in the Web interface, EVERY time I interact with the Web page a nag popup appears stating that I must update the problem PC. Before I can perform the action I wanted to perform, I must acknowledge that popup.
Since I cannot update the client, nor use the Web interface until this is done, this issue essentially makes the product unusable ... not sure of my options at this point, other than deinstalling both clients and giving up.
