Can't boot after restoring from a recovery point.

I am trying to upgrade the hard drive in my Dell Inspiron 8200. I installed Ghost 14.0, created a recovery point (backup) of the c: drive on an external USB drive, removed the old drive, installed the new drive, booted from the Ghost CD, restored the recovery point from the USB drive to the new hard drive. Everything seemed to work. When I attempted to boot the system from the new hard drive I get an error "A disk read error occurred... Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart". When I reboot into the Recovery Environment I can see the c: drive when using the "Explore My Computer" option. The c: drive seems to be correctly restored. I can run "Check Hard Disk for Errors" and do not get any errors.

Please help.
