Can't click on links in Outlook Express emails

Hello,

 

I'm new here and not incredibly computer savvy, so please give answers or help in layman's terms. Thanks! 

 

For the last few days, I've had a problem clicking on links in my OE6 emails. When I point to the link I get the hand with the pointer finger and when I click on the link, it locks up OE and I have to use the task manager to get out of it. I can right click on the links and copy the shortcut, paste it into my browser and get to the links just fine, but I'd rather be able to just click on the link like I used to.

 

I am running IE7. Someone at the CNET forums said they thought it was a Norton problem.   My Norton is version 17.7.0.12.  Can anyone help? Thank you kindly.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I'm not sure if I should follow those directions because it says if you're receiving an error message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." to follow the instructions. I'm not receiving an error message. If I click on a link in an email, OE locks up and goes to an almost completely white screen, but I get no error message. Will await your reply. Thanks.
