Hi all,
I'm new to these forums but I generally know how support forums work . That means I've looked to see if someone has already come up to a solution to my problem but I haven't been able to find it.
I have a Dell XPS 400 system that's 4 years old now and for almost as long I'd been using GHOST 10.0 to back it up. I'm pretty sure that at one point a couple of years ago I was able to run Recovery Point Sets, (Base & Bits), for my backups but for the past couple of years I wasn't able to. So I upgraded to GHOST 15.0 hoping that would fix this problem but it hasn't.
The choice is always greyed-out saying, "The recovery point set option is disabled because you selected an unmounted drive. You cannot create recovery point sets for unmounted drives."
Now, the drive I'm selecting is my C:\ drive but it doesn't show up that way in GHOST. On the Run or Manage Backups screen it lists the drive with the proper label, (i.e., the name I gave it), but in the Drives column it's listed as [*.\]. I don't know if this is significant.
The way I'm reading this is that the drive GHOST is saying is unmounted is my C:\ drive, right? If that's the case how do I mount it, (save the wisecracks!
)?
Note: My storage location for the images is a Maxtor One Touch 250G USB drive.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this.
Regards,
Peter
