Can't deploy agent - Ghost 15

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on a Lenovo 4GB memory. I recently replaced a broken router. All of a sudden Ghost can't deploy the agent. I try to do it manually and it asks for the administrator user's and password. If I enter that I get the error message E0D3EBC0, cannot deploy the agent to stan-pc. User credentials cannot be used for local connections (UMI:V-0-211-60352). I have tried several things suggested on the forums but still can't get it working. This has me exposed since I haven't been able to back up my system for several weeks. I am getting frustrated enough that I am considering getting rid of Ghost and finding another backup program. Its extremely difficult to work with Norton on these problems I am using a USB backup drive.

Any help out there?????

What have you tried?

I have read several solutions but none seem to allpy. I then found one by searching for the error message and it agve a lengthy three step process to insure that all the system settings were correct. I am unable to find that solution again by searching the ghost board. So I am now at a loss and don't know what to do. I'm willing to try any suggestions but I am not a guru on a computer and the only post that I cn find now that relate to this issue are my own.

The first one to try is the obvious one to uninstall and re-install Ghost.

Depending on the operating system make sure that all the security permissions are enabled.

Make sure that the destination drive is connected direct to the computer and not on a hub.

If you are trying to backup to a NAS map the drive with Ghost.

You can run a "Cold" backup by booting with the installation disk or the SRD (Symantec Recovery Disk) and follow the instructions on screen to run a backup.

I'm confused how you say "all of a sudden you can't deploy the agent" and now your unable to backup your system.

The Ghost "agent" is the program without the GUI or "front end".  It is something that is deployed or installed once on a system and then is controlled over the network from the main system that has the full version of Ghost installed.

It's basically a remote client.

If you actually do have 2 systems and you only want the "agent" installed on the second, it's actually just the Ghost service and you can run a custom installtion on the second system and use the option to just install the service.

It doesn't need to be "deployed" if you have access to the second system.

Sorry If I misunderstood.

I have decided to rid myself of this program and get backup from an online sewrvice (local to my area) where I can get help if I need it. Symantic is to difficult to work with.........I have removed Ghost from my system.
