Can't download fix for Symantec Keychain problem

I migrated my files from an old MacBook to a new I-Mac and am getting the "Symantec Keychain" problem requesting a password.  I checked the Norton Community and found a fix, the MigrateSubscriptionTool.   But I can't download it.  I've tried to do so with Mac's native browser, Safari as well as with Firefox.  Are there certain settings for each I should be aware of to download from Norton?  Usually my downloads come in just fine.

Thanks, LeRoy

I don't get any messages.  When I check the download window, in Firefox it merely says it is strarting and never goes further.  In Safari the download box shows a small percentage downloads, about 4.5% to 5.7% and then it appears to hang.

The Mac OSX is 10.6.4 on an i-Mac, with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

I have attached MigrateSubscription, but you will need to rename it from .txt to .zip before expanding it.  Let me know if you have problems.

Well, this is interesting!  In both Safari and Thunderbird, when I click on the file, it opens it in....I guess... code?  Lots of ?'s.  But still not downloading to my computer.  Can you email it to me?

Thanks,

LeRoy

LeRoy, what you need to do is right or control-click on the "MigrateSubscription" link above and use 'Save Link As...'. That will d/l a file to your chosen download location. Change the .txt extension of that file to .zip and double-click on it. That will give you a folder called "MigrateSubscription" containing two items. Double-click the .command file which will open in Terminal. You may need to enter a password and then hit 'Return'.

If you still have problems after following x190av's instructions, you can send me your email address via a private message (attachments aren't allowed on those or I would have sent it there).

I was able to download the link, changed the file to .zip, opened the folder and ran the script in the command window.  So far so good!  Now only time will tell.  I'll check back in a couple of days to note if this problem is resolved.

But thanks to both of you for the help and the link!
