Can't get a false positive looked at, you want the impossible first...

I have an msi file on my disk for a product I purchased. It has been on my disk for a week or two, but it has suddenly been detected as a "high risk" because it contains a file vm_detect.exe in its archive. This is a PITA because it pops up every hour or so.

To report it as a false positive I either have to supply a file < 10MB or supply a link where you can download the file. Both are impossible through no fault of mine. The file is large (not my fault) and because it is paid for software the file isn't just kicking aroun on the internet for anyone to download.

Catch 22, customer service won't help me until I do something which is impossible.

Do I have to ditch Norton, waste my remaining subscription, and buy a competing AV product instead?
