After I set up Identity Safe, I got an ominous message telling me no logins were set up. I don't know if that effects my situation now.
After reading the Norton documentation on Identity Safe, I thought one could manually go to the desired website, manually log into the desired website, and allow Identity Safe to automatically save the website information. On future website visits, I thought one only needed to click on the link in manage logins and then automatically be wisked to the desired site and automatically logged in with the autofill process.
This isn't happening.
When I click on the link, I go to the desired site, but that's it. No auto fill in. No auto login.
According to the web settings for Identity Safe:
I'm logged onto Identity Safe.
There are no auto-fill exclusions.
Identity Safe options have a check next to securely collect and store my logins and offer to fill in those logins when I revist those pages.
The card in the manage cards section that belongs to the site: Has the circle filled for the option auto fill when I visit this page
Has a check next to the option enable log in to be auto submitted.
I can set up a webpage address link (I liken it to a favorite on my browser because I can't get anything else to work) in logins only if I click on the new login button in manage logins and correct the www.example.com address with the actual address. FWIW, I include the http:// before the address because it's an Internet address. I click on the link of the site in manage logins which also has has the correct username and password. This gets me to the site.
I use Internet Explorer 9.
I've tried to auto fill login in via Identity Safe by clicking on the desired link in manage logins and just click on the login button of the website without filling username or password. I get an inaccurate login message.
Thanks for your help, Mark.
