Having recieved an auto email from Norton Safe Web cncerning a problem with my website I need to follow proper procedures before challenging the recent report. Unfortunately, I can't access my Norton Safe Web account which I set up last year. At the log in stage I enter my email address and password (I kept a written record of these) but one or both of these is not being accepted. If I then go to the 'recover my password' page and enter my email address I get the message saying that it is not possible to issue me with a temporary password at this time. What do I do now? Surely I don't have to make a new 'sign up' or do I. BTW, I used a different password for that account from this one as requested last year.
I do need to get into the account and would be most grateful for advice.
Well I went to the page as directed and there is no category on the 'email us' form that fits this situation, it's a drop down box all about product related issues and I am also asked to select which product I am using etc. I do need to get a re-evalution of my website so should I sign up for a new Norton Safe Web account again? I would still like to get to the bottom of why I can't get into the old account though.
I have flagged the issue to another Guru who is our Safe Web expert. He is in a different time zone but will get to you as soon as he is able. Thanks for your patience
Many thanks for doing this to help me. I will keep trying the 'recover password' but it's not worked so far for the last two days. I do hope the problem can be sorted so that I can then try resolve a much deeper one concerning the website.
Hello Norton Fighter I'm sorry for having to contact you again re the issue of me not being able to sign into my Norton Safe Web account but have no option. You passed me onto someone else C_Ops (Cops) and he swiftly got in touch, asking me to send him my registered emal address and password so that an attempt to re activate the account from his end could be done. I supplied this info (with further details) but have not heard anything from him since, despite sending him more emails asking for an update. Do you know if he is offline ill or on vacation etc. Do you know of anyone else who could take over to help me OR any other route I can take to get to the same end, namely getting to the area to apply for a re evaluation of my site.
