Just purchased Internet Security 5 and when I try to install, I get the message that it can't be installed on my hard disk due to an incompatibility with already installed security software that already installed (McAfee internet security).
The problem is I'm not running this and when I type McAfee into my search it does not find any McAfee items. I'm running OS 10.8
I found a previous message on these boards which suggested the item below. I don't know a thing about how to use Terminal, but I did figure out how to search and I did find that the SiteAdvisorFM exists but I don't know how to get rid of it?
The NAV installer is specifically looking for any of these paths when checking for McAfee Internet Security on the target drive:
/usr/local/McAfee/Firewall/bin/FWService
/usr/local/McAfee/AntiMalware/VShieldScanner
/usr/local/McAfee/SAFM/bin/SiteAdvisorFM
/usr/local/McAfee/SiteAdvisor/bin/UninstallSA.sh
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.mcafee.ssm.ScanManager.plist
