Can't install Norton Ghost 15.0 - error 1935

I honestly don't know.  What I do know is this:

1. It wasn't my version of Norton Ghost - I used both mine and one downloaded from symantec

2. It wasn't my .net because I uninstalled, cleaned the registry and reinstalled

3. It wasn't safe mode vs normal mode because it wouldn't install in safe mode either

The only thing that allowed it to install was following the instructions regarding the installer folder.

Now it works.  I hadn't seen that problem before - but who knows.

redk9258 - I think that's right. The install folder Ghost created was not being deleted after the failure, and put things into a loop.

That's a good trick to know. Next time I have any problem installing software, I might give it a try.

That is very handy to know,

I have to be honest I haven't come across that error before, thanks for the solution.

I can't find an "Installer" folder in C:/Windows.  I am running Windows 7 Prof-64.

I believe it is a hidden folder. In the Windows folder, click TOOLS from the menu bar, then FOLDER OPTIONS. On the view tab, click on SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS.

I recently rebuilt my HTPC with a Win7 x64 OS.  I am completely patched - SP1, etc.  I would like to install Norton Ghost 15.0 to image the drive and after running with administrator privs, it gets nearly 100% complete but throws up an error 1935 - specifically 0-800736B5 error.

I've perused some forums and used the Norton Removal tool to completely erase the failed installs.

I've uninstalled an reinstalled the .net packages and then updated via Windows update.

I've also downloaded the version from Symantec's site to do a clean install - thinking something might be wrong with my version.

Everything is fine but I can't get it to install.

Any help folks?
