I recently downloaded the free update to Norton Antivirus 2011 on one of my family's computers. Since then, immediately after double-clicking Internet Explorer, the "encountered an error and needs to close" message pops up. I ran a full-system scan and live update, plus rebooted my computer a few times, but still have no luck. We've been using Norton Antivirus products for many years now and we've never had this problem. Hopefully someone can help! Thank you all for your time!
The computer runs on XP Home and I use IE 8. The previous version of NAV was 2010 and I installed 2011 right over it. I did the rebooting and the live update. Is it possible that it just installed incorrectly?
