Can't purchase

I am trying to purchase Norton Internet Security subscription renewal (I had a 60-day trial pre-installed on my new laptop).

When I check out, my country - Israel - does not appear in the country list.

So I can't check out and continue to purchase the item. =(

What am I supposed to do???

Especially since it's a holiday weekend here I can only suggest that you contact the Norton OnLine Customer Support via the CHAT route as below and see if they can help you. I'm sure there is an answer but I can't remember what it is ....

Before you contact them, if you have Norton installed already go to your MyNortonAccount on line where your copy is registered and check out the Special Offers box since there can be some very good prices there that do not necessarily show up in the normal eStore.

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.

Feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Please let us know how you get on ....

Hi Hugh,

I see we're posting on top of each other. :smileywink:

Allen

Great minds ....

While I found from the US site Globe at the top that clicking on the globe did not show Israel in the list of countries, clicking on United States produced a drop list with Israel in it .... but if you clicked on that Israel you got a display with prices in US$ which I think is the OP's problem .....

Just tried it again and got a different result .... bah!

AAAH! Go to Store on the Norton menu bar and you get the country drop list ... in fact mine opens up as Israel ....

In fact it's sticky and if I change the drop list back to United States it opens as that next time ... but the prices stay in US$ -- although if I changae it to United Kingdom then the prices are in £ ....

Hopefully CHAT can resolve it ....

Hi Hugh,

It was a little confusing to me on this part too. It might just be that the price is in $ but the version is still Israel.

The OP can use the direct link I supplied after purchase to get the Hebrew version which is the primary language in Israel I believe.

I'll be waiting also to find out what Customer Service tells the OP on this.

Allen

Me too ....

Where's Dr Shlomo when we need him .... ? <g>

Thank you everyone!

I didn't notice the country list at the top of the page. It was set to US by default.

After I changed it to Israel, It DID appear on the country list during checkout. So I was finally able to purchase the renewal :-)

Thanks for letting us know what resolved it .... now we know how to help loads of other people!

You know where to find us if we can help on anything with the new installation. Do remember the link Dick gave to download a sone piece installation file for NIS 2012 in its current version. Sometimes it is easier to use that than the route that uses a Download Manager.

You may not need it now since you are renewing but it's there if you need it. It will always be newer than any on-disk copy if you ever purchase that way. Sometimes it is much cheaper than renewing and you just use the KEY for the disk you buy to activate the installed copy just before it expires -- you don't have to reinstall.

I had no problem with the selection staying as Israel, I was just more confused since the currency stayed in US dollars.

Just curious, did you pay in US dollars or did it allow some other currency?

Best wishes.
