When I choose File Actions beside the dataset I want to manipulate, I only get the options to Download a File, or E-Mail File Links. Help says I should also be getting a Purge Files option. There are two nearly, if not identical sets from the same computer. Thus taking up double the space. Please help.
I am using Norton 360. I chose to backup my files to online, and purchased more storage. So how do I get rid of the extra dataset? I don't understand. Norton 360 comes with 2 GB free storage. Yet, if I understand what you're telling me, once that space is used, it can't be re-used with different data?

Hello Elaine
If you use up all the space the option is to either purchase more or purge older content. The difference is Norton 360 allows purging via Norton Drive which is found under Computer or My Computer. You can refer to how to do this also from here:
Deleting the backed up files from Secure Online Storage in Norton 360 Version 5.0
I can not purge work files from unsuccessful NOBU backups. I turned NOBU on about a month ago. It has not backed up successfully yet. The 'work' folder in my 'Norton Online Backup' folder is full and I can not delete the files. I tried doing it through Norton 360 but it says there are no files to purge (because there hasn't been a successful backup). I tried moving the files to trash from Finder, but it says ' The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items'. My hard drive is full and I can't do anything basically until I delete these files. Please can someone help!
Thank you!
Hello cmi2599,
Unless you were using Norton Online Backup to specifically backup the data you won't be able to purge anything from Norton 360 in the web interface. It all has to be performed via Norton 360 itself. Send me the following info via private message and I'll have an agent contact you.
- The email address tied to your Norton account
- A link to this forum and a brief reference to what the request is for
- Your contact phone number and best time to reach you
I am sorry but I don't know how to send you a private message.
Do you have an email account I send this information?
Thanks,
Colleen
