Can't reinstall

In the admin centre I got a message saying one of the family PCs was not reporting, might be disabled.  I checked and definatly not disabled, so I tried to reinstall.

 

My first question is why did the client on this PC stop reporting?  It is a standard XP setup, normal cable LAN.

 

My second question is - is there a way it could be bypassed in some way without getting into my user name where I installed it? 

 

The install first did an uninstall, no problem.  But then when I did another install, it got almost all the way before stopping with an unspecified error - I did send to Norton support as requested on the error screen.

 

Final question is - how do I reinstall the client on this PC please?

First and second question: Please make sure you don't give administrative rights to the kid's windows account on the PC with Norton Safety Minder Installed and also keep the OnlineFamily.Norton email and password away from them.  Otherwise, they are able to disable or uninstall the program.
