Can't See prebiously Backed Up Files

Hi,

 

I have just upgraded from N360 V2.5 to V3 but now can't see the files I previously backed up, to secure online storage, when I had V2.5.

 

Any ideas or, better still, how can the files I have previously backed up be deleted to free up all my online storage space?

Try to reach the files trough the Norton Online Backup system:

1. Go to this page: https://nobu.backup.com

2. Log-in with your Norton Account username and password.

3. Choose your 360 Storage in the list.

4. It should list all your files you have on the server.

5. Delete the files to your Online Storage Space.

I can now see the files I want to backup and have completed that.

 

I now want to delete files from a previous backup.

 

Have selected 'delete files from a previous backup' (or similar wording) from the 'Where' tab in the backup part of Norton 360.

 

It asks me to select a backup set, I select the set, I then get an error message that talks about C++ Assert function then Norton 360 crashes and I have to reset the PC to get N360 to work (start up).

Can you post a screenshot pf the C++ error message?

Sorry - I can't post a screenshot.

 

N360 has now stopped working completely.

 

I tried re-installing N369V3 - I downloaded N360 V3 again - it asked me whether I wanted a partical or full install (or similar). One option retained all the passwords (partial), one option never (full).

 

I selected the partial download but after the download, on re-booting my PC, N360 won't start so I can't access the 'Delete previously backed up files' option.

 

I am going to do a complete 'uninstall' but the Norton removal tool website, http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20090303093300EN&count=1&tme=1247999422015

 

is 'down for maintenance'.

 

Is there anywhere else I can donwload the removal tool?

I have now managed to remove N360 - the website came back up.

 

The only issue now is how do I delete previously backed up files.

 

The last time I tried it I got the C++ Assert function error - this when I tried to delete files from the 'Where' tab. This is when everything went wrong.

 

I am now back at the original point of trying to delete previously backed up files.

 

I don't want to do it via the 'Where' tab as this causes N360V3 to crash.

 

The question is can I delete previously backed up files via the NOBU?

I managed to get a screenshot of the C++ error.

 

This is the error I get everytime I try to delete files from NOBU - from both the 'Where' tab in N360 and going via 'My Computer'.Norton_C_Error.jpg

Now finding that N360V3 won't start after this error.

 

I will have to re-install N360.

 

Something wrong with N360 Backup?

Removed N360 using BuDump.exe and Norton Removal Tool.

 

N360 now takes about 10 minutes to start - when you ask for a scan that takes about 5 minutes.

 

Does anyone have any idea what is happening? Is the problem with my PC?
