Can't send emails when using WiFi privacy app

I can't send emails when I have the WIFI privacy app on. Can receive emails and use Internet but not SEND emails.   Have deleted app and reinstalled still not working.  I can send emails when I turn it off. Have done live chat and had phone call with Norton tech support but they didn't have solution.   Any help?
