Can't Sign In From Norton Security App on MacBook

I keep getting a message saying I haven't completed registration of my Norton Security app on my MacBook Pro. When I open the app everything looks fine except that it doesn't show me signed in and when I try to sign in, it pre-fills my email address correctly and seems to accept my password, but I never get signed in. It just takes me back to the Norton Security app home screen where it shows the status of everything. It obviously knows who I am since it shows the account status as active, but when I click on Account, it tells me to sign in.

Any ideas on what might be going on? I can log into my account just fine via a browser and it shows that the MacBook is a registered device.

Thanks.

Thanks Peggy. I would remove your Norton product by following this article, making sure you reboot, and reinstall:

Please let us know if this helped if you'd be so kind.

I'm running Mac OS Sierra v.10.12.6. I'm also running the same Norton Security app on my Mac Mini running the same OS. I've successfully logged in to the Norton Security app on that machine.
