Recently bought 360 v5 was able to download to my desktop but when i try to load my lap top I can't sign on to the Norton web site to do this. Get a message that page cannot be found, so I am unable to download it. Help. What is wrong?

Are you very sure that you are connected to the Internet when this happens? Either your wire connection isn't making good contact or the wireless feature isn't turned on - just guesses on my part.

That sounds like a classic case of being infected -- hang on for some advice on determining if this is so and how to deal with it.

To get you the best advice, would you give us some more information about your system:
What version of Windows are you using including Service Packs and whether 32 bit or 64 bit as well as the Name and Version ID of the Norton product that you are using -- Help or Support / About is where that is, in the format of nn.nn.nn.nnn
If you have the COMCAST version of Norton 360 / Security Suite and not the normal commercial version please be sure to tell us.
If you get any error messages please give the exact wording of them as well as any other background that could be helpful.
Please also say what internet browser you are using -- name and version number ...
Do you have any security program installed -- if this was a new PC did it have a security program on it? If so what was it and how did you remove it -- they can sometimes stop replacement!!
Its my daughters older compaq laptop runs windows xp, had Norton security on it but she didn't renew it, so we are trying to download 360 on it. using time warner cable provider Microsoft browser. The only message we get is page not found. since both of us aren't very technical we are stumped.

Is that Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus or Norton 360 that was on the old computer?
Can you please give the Version ID for what you have. It is under Help or Support / About and it is in the format nn.nn.nn.nnn
Did you take any steps to remove it before trying to download/install Norton 360?
Where did you buy Norton 360 from? Where are you trying to download N360 from? Can you give the URL for the place you are trying to download from -- that's the "address" in the box at the top which begins http: usually. If you highlight that you can copy and paste it into the message reply here.
If you can't hankdle any of that don't worry but it would help -- just answer what you can.
Then I can give you instructions on removing the Norton product you have and a URL to download a file which you can use after downloading in order to install.
The old computer had Norton internet security 2005 ver. 8.0.7.1 and Norton antivirus ver. 11.0.16.4. I have not tried to remove them from the old computer. I down loaded the Norton 360 from your site to my family computer. . My Norton Security subscription was expiring and I up graded to Norton 360.
I was trying to download it to my daughter's computer from your website, since I don't have a disk. I tried to sign on to www.Norton.com using her computer to down load the 360 program but I get the message page not found and url
