If you are really running V16 that is 4 years old and I'm not sure was even valid for WIndows 7 64 bit.

 

I'd strongly recommend an update to at least V19 / 2012 or to the current V20.....

 

But take into account not only that defragging is less and less important these days with modern file structures and in any case Windows 7 has defragging built in and runs it in the background as a scheduled operation. Whenever I check my frag level it tells me that I'm 0% fragmented .....

You have me at a bit of a loss. Are you asking about Norton Internet Security or Norton Utilities? NIS has a current version of 20.3 or 20.4

NU has a current version of 16

Sorry.  I vegged out when I typed the original post.  It's NU 16.  Smart defrag is always off and I can't figure out how to turn it on
