**Caution** Crooks abound

Pop-ups found their way on to one of my computers.  When I clicked on the Norton Support Site a bogus phone number popped-up.  When I called, the support tech was sure the thought I was speaking to a Norton tech was affirmed.  Deep in to the conversation, a remote connection and and a transfer later I was informed my problem was fixable for $169.  When I objected to the additional fee (still under the impression I was working with Norton) I was to hold while the tech spoke to his supervisor about my price aversion.  He came back in a minute or to with a $60 discount offer.  When I declined and attempted to disconnect, blank screens began opening on my computer and would not stop until I powered down.

Good news, when I got the real Norton people on the phone all problems were resolved and (as anticipated) no addition cost.

Way to go Norton!
