I know there are several old threads on this matter, but I can't reply to them. I just want to know if there's any possible way to make ccSvcHst.exe stop continually writing to my disk...it maintains about 7 bytes/sec, which isn't really taxing the system, but it is definitely audible in daily usage. I'v etried turning off some of Norton AV 2012's (and previously 2011) services, but the disk activity remains constant.
And to be fair I don't think I ever noticed this issue in Norton AV 2009 and 2010 when I was using a different PC. My current PC's HDD is louder and the case has worse sound damping, so it just exaggerates the problem.
