I tried clicking on the NIS icon and the UI would not open.
Computer seemed to be running OK and I could browse the internet.
When I checked task manager I saw that ccsvchst.exe (Symantec Service) was taking 35% CPU, and 1,470,840K memory.
That seemed very high !
I restarted the computer and then got 0% CPU and about 6,000K for memory usage for ccsvchst.exe, and I could then open the UI again.
Two questions:
1. What could cause that very high memory usage ?
2. Was NIS still protecting my computer ?
