I just think it is very sad that I pay for NIS and I receive a software product with glitches in it known to Norton, specifically ccsvchst.exe Norton could send what use to be called in the childhood days of computing a 'patch' to fix the problem. A review of the web indicates many people are aware of this problem. Probably thousands of people are not, or hundreds of thousands.
Norton provides a community forum where responders try valiantly to fix the problem, while Norton does nothing. They have their people reading the forum - and laughing sardonically like the characters in Dilbert do.
I've read some suggested fixes, like reinstalling Norton. This is like having a car where periodically you have to pull over to the side of the road, turn the engine off, and restart the car.
I could not find anywhere where I could write to Norton directly and have them explain to me why their product ties up my computer. I suggest the real answer is that the hackers have turned their sites on Norton and are bombarding it with viruses and etc. which Norton actually cannot fix, so it runs ccsvchst.exe continually to combat the attacks.
