Issue abstract: Certificate Errors for Norton Services
Detailed description: I’m getting hundreds of certificate errors for both nllToolsSvc and VpnSvc. I’ve tried reinstalling Norton as well as doing the repair and I’m still receiving tons of errors in my Event Viewer. The reason I even saw them is because my computer has crashed a few times lately and I’m wondering if that is the cause (or a symptom of the cause). Either way I’m trying to resolve it so I can be sure it’s not part of a larger problem.
Product & version number: Norton 360 25.12.10659 (build 25.12.10659.961)
OS details: Win11
What is the error message you are seeing?
The certificate received from the remote server was issued by an untrusted certificate authority. Because of this, none of the data contained in the certificate can be validated. The TLS connection request has failed. The attached data contains the server certificate.
The SSPI client process is nllToolsSvc

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them: I’m not seeing many other errors around those errors which is why I’m just trying to resolve these and then I’ll try to see what else I can find.
