Change from 360 to internet security

I had norton 360 last year but went with internet security 2011. I had about 20 days left on 360 but they did not continue over with the new install. Is there any way of adding the days or should I have just waited?

I can't tell you for sure, and maybe someone else can, but 360 and internet security 2011 are slightly different products. I think you should have probably uninstalled 360 properly before installing internet security 2010. I think you probably should have uninstalled 360 the day before it was due to run out, then installed I.S 2011  I may be wrong, but that is what I would have done.

HI th

reactivate is correct in that you should, ideally, have waited until the 20 days ran out before changing to NIS. You cannot transfer the remaining days from Norton 360 to NIS but, if you chat to Customer Support via the chat option in the following link, they may be able to do something for you. The link is for US/Can.

Hi th,

Welcome to the Norton Community. Can you tell us what process you followed to change from N360 to NIS? Also what version of NIS 2011 do you now have? You can find this from Support > About? After instlaling NIS did you run live update repeatedly (rebooting as requested) until it reported there are no more updates?

Also did you use the Identity Safe feature on N360 and if so did you get that restored under NIS? Identity Safe with N360 is fully compatible with NIS so if you use this feature and did not restore it into NIS, we can also help out there if you need it.

Best wishes.
