Change Licenced Computer

Hi,

Is it possible to change my licenced computers? Currently all my  3 computers are using my norton 360 v4.0 but I want to sell my other pc and buy a new one. Can I transfer the licence to the new pc??

Hi timeoutmode,

Yes, you can transfer Norton 360 from your old computer to the new one :-) Please do the following:

First, uninstall Norton 360 from your old computer, preferably with the Norton Removal Tool for a thorough deinstallation:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&ssfromlink=true&sprt_cid=1a13409b-29db-4397-a286-9dec49f8e252&seg=hho&ct=us&lg=en&docurl=20080828154508EN

If you use Identity Safe, back up your Identity Safe data before removal so that you can import it later to Norton 360 after you have installed it on your new machine:

Then, depending on which edition of Norton 360 you have got, please download the correct edition of Norton 360 version 4 from the appropriate link below and save it to your new computer:

Norton 360 Standard Edition version 4 (English)

Norton 360 Premier Edition version 4 (English)

You will also need your Norton product key in order to activate Norton 360; during activation, your subscription days will be picked up automatically by Norton 360. You can fetch your product key from your Norton account:
http://www.mynortonaccount.com/
You can also find your product key on the CD sleeve. After installation, please run LiveUpdate to get all the latest updates.

During activation, a notification may pop up saying that you have exceeded the number of allowed activations. If this happens, please contact Symantec Customer Support, and they will reset your activations for you. You can chat with them for free over here:

Note: Please make sure that you remove any preinstalled antivirus software on your new computer before installing Norton 360.
